It’s Saturday afternoon and I have nooothing to doooooo……

At least it’s nice out. We’ve had, like, three almost-sunny days in a row! And today is really sunny. The radio said it’s supposed to be 34, but radios don’t have brains so I’m not sure how realiable that would be. The internet tells me it’s 25 degrees though, and the way I figure it, at least the internet has a brain the size of a spider, so it must be *more* right. Yup.

Hmmm that’s curious… I just found a little yellow spot on my skin. I wonder what that is. Well if I die by the end of the summer we can all blame the yellow spot.

Here’s my mom’s recipie for Greek Salad Dressing:

3 T Olive Oil
1 T Lemon Juice
1/2 tsp oregano

My coworker actually says “oreGAno” instead of “oREgano”. For some reason I thought oreGAno came from The Simpsons but I haven’t been able to corroborate that. She also says “to-MAH-to”.

And finally for today, my family and I have completed a scientific experiment. It turns out that the cookie part of an Oreo is different depending on the flavour of oreo. Regular oreos have thin, hard cookies. However, any double-flavour oreo, such as Mint, Mocha, or Caramel oreos, have thicker, airier, and crumblier cookies. The creamy filling is also thicker (as in double-stuff oreos) and fluffier, but we figured this was just because of the different flavours. The current standing theory is that regular oreos are manufactured in Canada (it is known that Canadian oreos are different from American oreos, which are different from European oreos, which are different from Japanese oreos, etc) but that because Mr Christie makes so few flavoured oreos in comparison, those factories are in the states and make American oreo style cookies. Thus, to us Canadians, we see them as two different cookies while the Americans have two of the same. We don’t have any American oreos to test the theory with, though. And really, the most important moral to the story, as my mom quickly pointed out, is that oreos don’t have any calories when you’re eating them for the sake of science.
