My blog celebrated something of a birthday a couple days ago.

It was largely made by all those entries from Japan I’ve been uploading. I’ve actually finished that now, and you can take a look at them by clicking on the archive links on the right side of the page from August 2002 to June 2003. The last entry rather optimistically says I’ll finish writing on the plane right home. So much for that idea.

I made 100% on my Quantum Physics midterm, which is pretty nice, although the prof told me not to get too overconfident because the distribution seemed to resemble a dirac delta function around that point (95-100%). Nonetheless he also seemed to hint that the final generally has a similar distribution… well, we’ll see…

That reminds me of the day our PDE prof was trying to tell us about how things related to electrostatics, including delta functions, but without ever saying “delta function”. It’s “that-thing-which-must-not-be-named” to most mathematicians, I guess. Oh, my PDE assignment was also postponed to Monday, adding to the wonderfulness of today.

On a side note, generally when my computer starts to run really really slowly it causes me no end of frustration, but every once in a while it ends up allowing for some artistic exploration just by moving windows around…
