It seems like every year on about the third week of November, I see some reference to something called NaNoWriMo — National Novel Writing Month. It’s a program that challenges people to write a 50,000 word novel entirely within the thirty days of November.

Yes, as is even said on the website, most of what is written is crap. I think if I tried, it would be a whole lot of crap. I try to write every day, but even over several years of writing material for (or earlier incarnations of such, at least) I’m just now floating around the 100,000 word mark. Essentially, to finish NaNoWriMo successfully, I’d have to write as much in one day, every day, as I currently write in one month.

Maybe by next year.

So, I’m assuming you’re from Montreal? I’m a sophomore at Northwest Missouri State University, which is weird being 17.
