Adding images is a very simple task, and can be done with a click of a button. Just click where you want the image to appear, and click this button:
A window will pop open, letting you browse around for the image you want.

Choose the image you want and click OK. Generally, only GIF and JPG files are the kinds used on the web. Gif images are very simple, with few colours but a transparency feature. Jpgs are used for higher quality images and photographs, but the cost is a larger file size.
You can resize a picture by clicking on it and dragging the boxes on the sides around. If you drag corner boxes, the aspect ratio will be preserved, meaning the picture will not get distorted. Dragging the picture out from the side or top and bottom will stretch or squeeze the picture in funny ways.
Keep in mind, though, that changing the picture size doesn't change the original file. If you do make a picture smaller on the page, it might be a good idea to resample it, to reduce the file size. You can do this by using the resample button on the pictures toolbar, which looks like a picture with a bunch of arrows pushing it in. To access this toolbar, Go to Toolbars under the View menu and select Pictures.
Not that you know how to add text, links, and images to your webpage, the next step is formatting. There are many complicated ways to do various formatting tricks, but the simplest is probably tables.
