You may have found that you would like to create a chart, or you might have noticed that you can't put a paragraph of text next to an image. These problems can solved with tables

Tables are simple to create with the insert table button on the toolbar. When you click on it, you can move the mouse around in indicate what dimensions you want the table to have. In this example, a table three cells wide and two rows tall would be made:

Once you've created your table, you can fill in each space with text or images. You'll find that the cells will expand to fit whatever you put in them. The table can also be resized by clicking and draging the edges around.

There are, of course, more properties to tables that can be customized. If you right click inside the table and select table properties from the popup menu. This screen should appear:

Within this menu screen, you can mess around with colours and the border around the table. Cell padding is the size of margins within the cell. If you set this to 20, there will be a space of 20 pixels from the side of the cell to the content within the cell. Cell spacing changes the space between cells themselves. Finally, the border can be used to make the lines of the table thicker or thinner. If you set the border to 0, the table will become invisible to people looking at it on the web.

This kind of fomatting can be taken to another level -- frames.
